LOGISTICS HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

Viet Nam Logistics Forum hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been organized as the largest annual logistics event in Viet Nam since 2013. Vietnam Logistics Forum 2021 is organized on 16th December 2021 in Ha Noi city by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the World Bank in Viet Nam. It is expected that H.E. Tran Tuan Anh, Member of the Politburo, Head of the Central Economic Commission and H.E. Le Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister will attend and deliver the guiding speech at the Forum.

In 2021, the world economy has been impacted heavily by the widespread Covid-19 pandemic, trade tensions and political conflicts. However, besides the challengers, Covid-19 has indirect and multi-dimentional impacted to the economy due to the urgent requirements of the actual situation, especially the outstanding development of the industrial revolution 4.0 and the digital transformation. In addition, the implementation of new-generation FTA such as CPTPP, EVFTA and upcoming RCEP requires enterprises to make high efforts to compete in order to seize opportunities and overcome challenges. On April 30, 2021, the Minister of Home Affairs issued Decision No. 568/QD-BNV allowing the establishment of the Viet Nam Association for Logistics Manpower Development.

In the time to come, the quality of human resources will be one of the key factors to enhance the competitiveness of logistics service providers and sustainably develop the logistics sector. Therefore, "Logistics Human Resource Development" is selected as the topic of this 9th Vietnam Logistics Forum.
